Abachi Sauna Bench Boards

Abachi bench boards are the international benchmark for sauna seating. Their exceptionally low thermal conductivity keeps the surface comfortable to skin even at full sauna operating temperatures of 90-110�C, while the closed, knot-free grain resists checking, warping, and splintering across thousands of heat-cool cycles. The native African hardwood (Triplochiton scleroxylon) combines a balanced density with a uniform fine texture that machines and finishes to a tactile smoothness suitable for direct skin contact.

We supply abachi bench boards in two specifications. Class A selection delivers the brightest, most uniform pale appearance and tightest grain consistency, ideal for contemporary minimalist sauna interiors. Thermo-modified abachi has been heat-treated at 180�215�C in an oxygen-controlled chamber, permanently shifting the colour to a rich caramel tone while increasing dimensional stability and rot resistance. Both grades are knot-free on the visible face and profile-milled to specification.
